HOW I FEEL ABOUT BLOGGING
I particularly like to blog. As you may know, I like to express my opinion. Blogging gives me a different way to do that. Even though my teacher tells me what to wright about, I still enjoy it. Another thing that I like about it is that any one can read it.
CLASS WITHOUT MY TEACHER
Not having a teacher sucks. There is no way else to put it. My computer misses sometimes and when i realize she isn't here I wanna cry, literally. It wouldn't be so bad if we actually had a sub that liked kids, but we don't. On the flip side, she has always left us reasonable assignments and we know exactly what to do.
SPORTS DOCUMENT/CLASS ACTIVITY
The LSU Tigers football team
played their 120th season of college football during the 2014 season. First
season 1893; 121 years ago. Athletic director is Joe Alleva and the Head coach
is Les Miles it is his 10th year coaching. LSU is in the Tiger Stadium, located
in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. LSU has won three National Championships in 1958,
2003 and 2007. LSU won the BCS National Championship in 2004, and the 2008 BCS
National Championship Game becoming the first team since the advent of the BCS

Louisiana State University Tiger Marching Band "pregame show"
was created in 1964, and revised over the next nine years into its current
format. The marching band lines up along the end zone shortly before kick off.
Then the band strikes up a drum cadence and begins to spread out evenly across
the field. When the front of the band reaches the center of the field, the band
stops and begins to play an arrangement of "Pregame" (Hold that
Tiger). While it does this, the band turns to salute the fans in all four
corners of the stadium. Then the band, resuming its march across the field,
begins playing "Touchdown for LSU." At this point, the LSU crowd
chants "L-S-U, L-S-U, L-S-U..."
For home football games, LSU fans from every corner of the region, well
over ninety thousand, descend on the Baton Rouge campus; setting up motor homes
and tents for one of Louisiana's biggest parties as early as Thursday before
Saturday football games. Tailgating is found across the entire campus with many
fans tailgating in the same spot year after year. Some tailgaters form
affiliations or organizations and name their "tailgating krewes". LSU
has continually been ranked as the top tailgating location in the country.
ESPN.com ranked LSU as the top tailgating destination in America. The Sporting
News proclaimed "Saturday Night in Death Valley" and Tiger tailgating
as the top tradition in college football. LSU's tailgating was named No. 1 in a
Associated Press poll on top tailgating spots and by a CNN network survey on
top tailgating locations.
GROUP WORD DOCUMENT ON COUNTRY/CLASS ACTIVITY
When Portuguese
explorers arrived in what is now Brazil they found many native Indian tribes.
However, the Portuguese brought many diseases from Europe and wiped out large
numbers of those Indians. Portugal was having an economic crisis at the time
and a mass amount of people moved to South America. They were hoping to trade
but the only thing that they found worth trading was the Brazil wood tree. This
tree is used to make red dye. Dom Joan arrived in Brazil in around 1807. He had
to go back to Portugal in 1821 and he left his son in charge of the country.
However, when he returned his son rebelled and declared Brazil free from
Portugal.
Brazilian
culture is a mix of indigenous Indians, Africans, and Portuguese cultures.
Brazil gets its language, main religion, and most of their customs from the
Portuguese. Portuguese is spoken by nearly one hundred percent of the
population. The Indian population is now fairly small and has the least
influence. Africans have the strongest influence along the coast.
Feijoada is a
traditional Brazilian food that is similar to rice and beans. Most street foods
in Brazil are deep fried. Coxinha is one of those popular Brazilian street
foods. Brazilians love to add chili sauce to dishes. Pao de queijo (cheese
bread) is a popular dish eaten for breakfast in Brazil. Also, fruit juice is
very popular in Brazil.
Brazil has
public and private schools. The public schools are free of charge but the
private schools can be quite pricey. Brazilian schools consist of elementary
school (6-14 years old) and high school (15-17 years old). Higher education is
optional after other schooling. School is required for children between seven
and fourteen years of age. However, it is never really enforced because many
children live in rural areas and have to work to make money for their family.
Samba is a very
popular music genre in Brazil. Many people in Brazil participate in Samba dance
competitions. There is also a samba festival. Overall, Brazil has some very
interesting history and culture. I hope that one day I could experience it
myself.

INTRODUCTION
My name is Hannah Lewis, and I am a sophomore at University Academy. I attended Alexandria Country Day School Pre-K through 8th grade. For my freshman year I went to Pineville High School. I transferred here for better academics and a chance to excel in education. Being duel enrolled gives me a chance to be ahead of other teens in public schools. I also rodeo and I play softball. One thing I love about my sport and traveling is I meet new people and see new places. At the end of every rodeo season, I go to nationals in Rock Springs, WY. I meet a variety of people and make the best memories. This sport teaches responsibility and discipline. I also consider it family oriented. It’s hard to achieve and do well without supportive parents and family members. Not everyone is able to compete in this sport because of the amount of money it takes. Just think, we drive thousands of miles and pay hundreds of dollars for entry fees to have one chance to show what we got. We are very blessed to be able to do and what we love.
